Who is The Adventurer on a Shoestring?
The Adventurer on a Shoestring is the alter ego of Gerard de la Pena. Currently a TV news correspondent and a radio show host, he
started his career as a theatre artist before jumping into the media to become
an economic journalist for a business newspaper. Although his
job as a journalist has brought him around the Philippines and to several
places in Southeast Asia and Europe, he sees to it that he embarks on his own
trips at least once a year. He likes taking pictures, reading novels, going sound
tripping, and downing at least two cups of coffee a day.
